Vlad Vlad Pootin

http://news.yahoo.com/russias-putin-faces-protests-poll-triumph-050653321.html

Hero of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Vlad Vlad Pootin, has emerged victorious in his return to the Presidency of the Kremlin; which of course he never left, with a solid 64% (by Soviet maths) majority over his hand-picked loyal oppositionistas. With tears streaming from going without the normal Soviet fur headgear in the Moscow chill. What a man.

And what an outrage that the unloyal opposition should immediately stage a big demo in Red Square to contest the fairest election every held in the USSR. Who wouldn’t want a solid KGB man in charge with that nice Mr. Medvedev to show the softer side of modern Sovietism. Only fair that the goose-steppers should be called in with big truncheons to do some gentle persuasion to go home and to round up the hot-headed leaders and run them over to Lefortovo and Lubyanka; where the ghost of that great humanitarian philosopher Levrantiy Beria still walks the dungeons. Brave man that Alexei Navalny. I ‘ad that Alex Litvinenko in the back of me cab once.

Here’s Ambrose E-P with news from Madrid. Mariano Rajoy has shown he has a Spanish backbone (and may remember the last time that the German nation helped subject Spain to decades of Francoist, Falangeist fascism). The new Latin axis is beginning to emerge, as discussed in previous epistles. No doubt Mario Monti has been finding common cause with Mariano and they’ve been talking to Francois in Paris about how to sink Merkozy and their Brussels sycophants. Di Kanzlerin’s dead hand of support for the little fella en L’Élysée could be der Kuss des Tod.

Ambrose again highlighting that knockabout Dutch pol Geert Wilders and his report from Charles Dumas at Lombard Street Research. The momentum of those questioning the received wisdom of the fascist Eurocrats is building fast. Die Ossie Haus-Frau has set German diplomacy back to the days pre Konrad Adenauer and Ludwig Erhardt.

The Greek debt swap looks dodgier by the day. Roll on the CAC. Spanish unemployment heading upwards towards 25% and youff unemployment already north of 50%. Still the Eurocrats are mouthing off platitudes they cannot believe and Van Rumply (recently re-nominated without opposition as the Euro-Soviet Commissar) and Barroso, with Olli Rehn in close echelon, declare that the sky over the blessed EU will never fall. Don’t look up guys.
